Canon notes: Blue is coming from the end of Chapter Six of Dream Thieves. I do play her as having previously dated Kavinsky, but this is headcanon / interpretation more than an AU, and I talk a bit about this in reference to canon here. But I'm happy to edit her app to be AU if mods prefer!

Personality:
+ Fanciful: Blue is a fanciful creature, that gives little care to the social mores and expectations of her rural Virginia hometown. She is identified with the page of cups in reference to the tarot, a card of emotions and creativity, and- as her mother frequently points out- untapped potential. She hand knits and hacks up her clothes and reassembles them into a homespun / cottagecore aesthetic, not because she wants others to think that she's attractive, but because she wants how she looks to mirror how she feels inside, but considers this sort of aesthetic fixation to mark her as “vain”. Because as mentioned below, she's also very practical, and a lot of her character exists in the juxtaposition between the two. She thus wants more than her economic status promises, but not in a way that culminates in plans or real results – she is a creature of yearning more than fruitful steps to overcome difficult barriers, unlike most of the other characters. This is also what seems to draw her to other people: those who are strange creatures in an un-strange world.
+ Sensible: Contrasted to the above, Blue is also quite sensible – even when she doesn't want to be seen this way. However, it is worth noting that this largely seems to function as a negative. It's not just about being realistic, but about accepting her limits and being okay with being average because she doesn't believe that she can be exceptional. She wants big things and yet rather than striving for them, she accepts her limitations, and it is thus not until being drawn into Gansey's circle of friends and confidants that she seems to even consider going to college as a real thing. By this point, of course, she clearly hasn't put in the effort towards qualifying for scholarships or what might stand out on an application. So her so-called sensibility seems to actively hold her back if left unchecked.
+ Emotional: Blue is also very actively emotional, in a way that frequently feels like compensation for being “sensible”. She can't do anything direct about the barriers that seem placed around her by virtue of her socio-economic status and gender, and so she tends to come off as short-tempered and reactionary. She is not someone who gives strangers the benefit of the doubt, nor is she someone who suffers in silence. She is clearly a feminist, and willing to be loud about it when she feels disrespected – which in a small town in rural Virginia is a far from infrequent occurrence. But she also is just someone with a lot of emotions in general. She has moments where she is almost overwhelmed with her love and care for the raven boys she finds herself drawn towards – the very same boys that she loathed more or less on principle at the start of the first book. Part of this is also that she starts off as being pretty judgmental: comfortable with dismissing people with the assumption of the moral high ground based solely on their appearance or the school they attend. She gets better about this through the series, but is still in a less than great position at her canon point. She's also very tactile and touchy, despite her curse making that a fairly charged issue.
+ Passive: In canon, Blue is written as being a highly passive character (she suffers from love-interest-itis in a wide variety of ways). This is something that permeates all facets of her character from her powers to the way that she never actively commands the narrative of the story, or even seems to have any concrete goals or aspirations. Even when her mother is missing and trapped in a cave, the narrative continues to largely hinge around the other characters, because Blue is not really someone that makes or enacts plans. There are two other characters that are also portrayed as following after Gansey, but they both have personal arcs that are clearly self-directed, and possess interests and agency that do not revolve around him whereas Blue mostly just has her love story arc. Blue therefore comes across as sort of lost and aimless: wanting a bigger, different world, and not quite knowing what to do with her life in the one that she has. In canon she has her future basically gifted to her by her wealthy love interest and a similarly wealthy friend, which I find a very unsatisfying resolution. But in Revival I don't think she will really have the luxury of this approach.
+ A Teenager: All the central characters in TRC are teenagers, but I think Blue is the character where this is most apparent. Gansey, Adam and Ronan have all suffered some sort of trauma which makes Blue feel comparatively naïve. To go back to the idea of her mother being lost, it does not seem to cross her mind that there's a possibility that her mom might not come back until a similar sort of tragedy arises for her. She's also very clearly focused on how things make her feel, personally. She's hypocritical and can be deceptive, even to people that she claims are her friends. She never really takes responsibility for the way that she treats people which is frequently less than stellar (especially with Adam in particular). She also picks fights that aren't actually about the thing she claims to be upset about, which allows her to blame her own emotional struggles on someone else. So in short Blue is very much a young adult who is still figuring out compromise and how to be intimate and honest with people both in a platonic and romantic sense, and actually deal with the world she has rather than wishing for a different one... and maybe also how to not cheat on her boyfriend.

Blue's central power is that she makes other people's powers stronger. She primarily functions as a sort of amplifier for psychic / magic abilities, although this also manifests in forms like ghosts being able to draw on her energy to be more real / be able to interact with the world, and other less-direct forms.
She is a strange sort of mirror that comes from being part-tree light, and this makes her immune to a number of magical weirdness. Tree lights are also what make up Cabeswater, the strange dream forest tied to the ley line in her canon. There are some reflections of this, such as when she dream shares with another character, and also being the basis of her curse about “if you kiss your true love he will die” which in the end had nothing to really do with kissing or true love. But overall the majority of this stuff goes unexplored in canon, because of course it does.
